A few weeks after the first complaints, Google finally confirmed the existence of a bugLet our colleagues from 9to5Google know on October 24, 2019. “We are aware that a small number of Google Home and Google Home Mini devices are affected by an issue that causes the device to not work. We have a fix that will prevent the issue from recurring and will be available very soon. We are replacing the affected devices” Google announced it in a press release sent to the media.
Obviously, the issue is limited to Google Home and Home Mini, but does not affect Google Home Max, Google Home Hub or Nest Mini. Contrary to rumors, Google also replaces out-of-warranty devices.
