Easily Mirror from iPhone to Fire TV Stick

Amazon’s Fire TV Stick is a godsend in disguise for people who don’t have smart TVs. This little device allows you to stream your favorite TV shows and movies and install other streaming apps like Netflix, Hulu, among others.

As feature-rich as it is, it has a few limitations. For one, you cannot mirror your iPhone’s content directly to Fire TV. So if you need to show a slideshow from your most recent trip or reminisce about old memories, you’re hooked to your iPhone’s screen.

But luckily, there is a neat workaround in the form of third-party apps that do the job with just as easily. So, if you want to mirror content from your iPhone to Amazon Fire TV, here is how you can do it.

We will take the help of a third-party app called AirScreen to mirror the content from your iPhone. Also, you need to install the app on your Fire TV and Apple iPhone. Fortunately, all models are supported.

This application works over the Wi-Fi network. So you need to make sure that both your phone and TV are connected to the same network.

If this is your first time installing an app on Fire TV Stick, follow these steps:

Stage 1: On your Fire TV Stick, go to the Search tab and search for AirScreen. Once you find the app, tap the Install button.

Ideally, the app should appear on the home screen after the installation process is complete. If you can’t find it there, you will find it under the Application tab.

Step 2: Open the application and click Start Server > Start icon. Once complete, the device ID, server name and Wi-Fi name will appear in the upper left corner of the TV screen.

Sit back, relax and enjoy your favorite content from your phone running on Fire TV Stick.

When you want to stop viewing the content, tap Stop Mirroring.

Although the app is free on Play Store and Amazon Appstore, it has a few limitations. While we did not observe any time constraints while testing the app, there were a few 15-second ads between actions.

However, you can get rid of the ads if you choose the premium version. A monthly subscription is around $3-4, which is a good enough price if you regularly mirror the content to your TV.

The annual subscription plan costs around $12.

Supported Apps

You’ll be able to see the AirPlay icon in apps like Music, Apple TV, and YouTube.
