All Elden Ring Bell Bearing locations

Being able to find Elden Ring Bell Bearings will allow you to buy more from Twin Maiden Shells. Perhaps most importantly, the endless Elden Ring Smithing Stones will eventually be in stock, making a huge difference in upgrading your Elden Ring weapons. However, they sell a lot more and are almost certainly one of the best traders in the game. This is because you can expand what they sell throughout the game by bringing Bell Bearings, which you can usually get in the world from bosses and dead NPCs. However, in true FromSoftware fashion, it’s unclear where and when you’ll find Bell Bearings at Elden Ring. So if you don’t want to leave things to chance, here’s exactly where to find them.

All Bell Bearing locations and what they get you in Elden Ring

As far as we know, there are at least twelve Bell Bearings spread across the Elden Ring, and more can be obtained depending on what happens to the merchants in your game.

1. Smithing Stone Miner Bell Bed (1): Reward for beating the Crystal boss fight in the Raya Lucaria Crystal Tunnel. Unlocks Smithing Stone (1), Smithing Stone (2) and Glintstone Scrap for sale.
2. Smithing Stone Miner Bell Bed (2): It was found in a chest in the middle of the Sealed Tunnel. Unlocks Smithing Stone (3), Smithing Stone (4) and Explosive Stone for Sale.
3. Smithing Stone Miner Bell Bed (3): It was found in a chest in the Zamor Ruins, east of the Grand Lift of Rold. Unlocks Smithing Stone (5) and Smithing Stone (6) for sale.
4. Smithing Stone Miner Bell Bed (4): A reward for beating Crumbling Farum Azula’s Godskin Duo boss fight. Unlocks Smithing Stone (7) and Smithing Stone (8) for sale.
5. Somberstone Miner Bell Bed (1): The reward for defeating the Fallen Star Beast in the Sellia Crystal Tunnel. Unlocks Somber Smithing Stone (1), Somber Smithing Stone (2) and Glintstone Scrap for sale.
6. Somberstone Miner Bell Bed (2): A reward for beating the Crystal Spear and Ringblade boss fight in the Altus Tunnel. Unlocks Somber Smithing Stone (3) and Somber Smithing Stone (4) for sale.
7. Somberstone Miner Bell Bed (3): Found on a corpse outside the First Marika Church. Unlocks Somber Smithing Stone (5) and Somber Smithing Stone (6) for sale.
8. Somberstone Miner Bell Bearing (4): A body was found just north of Grace’s Storm Facing Balcony Zone in the crumbling Farum Azula. Unlocks Somber Smithing Stone (7) and Somber Smithing Stone (8) for sale.
9. Somberstone Miner Bell Bed (5): He was found on a corpse in the abandoned temple on the north side of the dismembered Farum Azula. Unlocks the Somber Smithing Stone (9) for sale.
10. Ghost Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bed (1): The Eternal City was found on a corpse in a Gazebo near the entrance to Nokron. Unlocks Ghost Glovewort (1), Ghost Glovewort (2) and Ghost Glovewort (3) for sale.
11. Ghost Glovewort Picker’s Bell Bed (2): In a chest at the top of the Western stairs, just after entering the Eternal City Noxtella. Unlocks Ghost Glovewort (4), Ghost Glovewort (5) and Ghost Glovewort (6) for sale.
12. Bone Dealer Bell Bed: A reward for defeating the Bell Bearing Hunter boss that appears in the Warmaster’s Shack at night. Unlocks Thick Animal Bones and Heavy Monster Bones for Sale.

It’s also the case that any special trader killed (by the story, by the enemies, or even by the player’s hands) will almost always drop a Bell Bearing at their location. This can then be brought into Twin Husks to effectively rebuild the dead merchant’s stock so you can buy those items even after they’re gone.

Of course, the best thing here is that you can buy an endless supply of Smithing Stones, especially the better ones, although they aren’t cheap. However, exploring the world trying to find them will save you time and radically open up opportunities to upgrade various weapons.

What to do with Bell Bearings

Any Bell Bearings you find should be taken to the Twin Maiden Husks in the Round Table Fortress, a pair of dry figures leaning against each other in the dark room just behind the hallway outside Ofnir’s library. They will have a very limited stock that expands by defeating certain bosses from time to time, but you can talk to them anytime to offer Bell Bearings in your inventory. These little balls permanently expand your stock and don’t worry about losing your Bell Bearings – they have no other function than that, so you should always hand them over.
