5 Things to Know About iOS 15.0.1 Update

Apple has released a new iOS 15.0.1 update for the iPhone.

Unlike the previous version of iOS 15 (iOS 15.0), iOS 15.0.1 is a minor points upgrade with a short list of changes. It aims to improve the performance of iOS 15.

iOS 15.0.1 Issues

iOS 15.0.1 update is causing problems for some iPhone users. Some of these issues are brand new, others ported from iOS 15.0 and older versions of iOS.

The current list of iOS 15.0.1 issues includes loading issues, UI lag, Exchange issues, first- and third-party app issues, hotspot issues, touchscreen issues, Touch ID and Face ID issues, charging issues, and stuttering.

Apple recently stopped logging on iOS 15.0; this means that if iOS 15.0.1 causes problems with your phone, you cannot downgrade your phone to the previous version of iOS 15. You also cannot downgrade from iOS 15.0.

Keep this in mind if you’re having a good experience on iOS 15.0 or iOS 14. After upgrading to iOS 15.0.1, you will not be able to revert to the old software.

We expect Apple to release new iOS 14 software in the near future, so you will finally be able to migrate your iPhone back to the previous operating system.

iOS 15.0.1 Update: What’s New

iOS 15.0.1 is a small but important upgrade. It doesn’t have any new features on board, but it does bring bug fixes to Apple’s iPhones. Here is the full list of changes to the ship:

iOS 15.0.1 Jailbreak

developer teams behind checkra1n and UnC0ver jailbreaking tools have released versions compatible with newer versions of iOS 14, but only Checkra1n (currently in beta) is compatible with iOS 14.5. They do not yet support iOS 15.0.1, iOS 15.0, iOS 14.8, iOS 14.7.1, iOS 14.7, iOS 14.6 or iOS 14.5.1.

The latest version of unC0ver is compatible with newer iPhones including the iPhone 12 series. This is great news if you’ve been waiting to jailbreak your new phone. Unfortunately it is only compatible with versions up to iOS 14.3.

There is no way to downgrade your phone to iOS 14.3 or earlier; this means you are out of luck if you upgrade or have already upgraded to newer iOS software.

Apple has confirmed that a new version of iOS 15 and iOS 15.1 is currently in beta before being released later this year. The company hasn’t confirmed a specific date, but we expect it to drop in October or November.
