Microsoft Teams is enjoying its dream run in the enterprise market. The software recently passed 250 million MAUs (Monthly Active Users). With the upcoming Microsoft Teams native integration in Windows 11, the number will only go higher from here. However, software reliability leaves a big question mark on Microsoft Teams. Sometimes, it does not allow users to log in to the service.

Before you begin, make sure you’re using Microsoft Teams with an active internet connection in Windows 10.
1. Quit Microsoft Teams
Sometimes, a sign in error occurs when you don’t properly exit Microsoft Teams and don’t open it again from the taskbar or apps menu.
When you move the mouse pointer to the lower right corner of the taskbar, you will see the Microsoft Teams icon there. Right click on it and select Exit.
The software will completely shut down Teams services in the background and you can now try to sign in again.
2. Close Microsoft Teams from Task Manager

Step 4: Find the Repair option under the Reset menu from the menu below.
Step 5: Select Repair and let Windows handle the problem in the background.
Open Microsoft Teams and try to sign in again.
5. Clear Microsoft Teams Cache
This could be the main culprit behind Microsoft Teams sign in error on Windows 10.
Over time, your computer collects user data in the background to speed up common tasks in the application. Unfortunately, an overload of such data can cause a login failure on your computer. Here’s how you can clear the cache and continue using Microsoft Teams as before.
Stage 1: Close the Microsoft Teams app and press Windows + R to open the Run menu.
Step 2: Medicine %appdata%MicrosoftTeams into the box and press Enter.
Stage 3: The command will open the File Explorer menu with Microsoft Teams files.
Step 4: Select all folders and files and remove them from the computer.
Restart the Windows 10 machine and try to log in again.
6. Access Microsoft Teams from the Web
This is just a temporary solution. If you’re still having problems signing in to Microsoft Teams app on Windows 10, you can opt for the web version for now.
Microsoft Teams is also available on the web. You can access the service from Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge and clear meetings and the day’s schedule.
7. Uninstall Microsoft Teams
Microsoft Teams web is fine, but changing the native app in Windows 10 is not a permanent solution.
You can uninstall the problematic app and download the latest software version available in the Microsoft Store.
Go to Windows 10 Settings > Apps > Apps & features > Microsoft Teams and select the Uninstall button.
Download and install the latest Microsoft Teams app from the web or Microsoft Store.
