A NASArenowned for its space explorations and cosmic discoveries, expands its digital boundaries by launching the NASA+ streaming service.
The initiative, comprised of a variety of original series, live broadcasts of space missions, children’s content and last-minute updates, promises to offer an unprecedented insight into the agency’s universe and activities.
NASA+: all the details about the new platform
The platform is now available for download on iOS and Android mobile devices and tablets, as well as popular streaming systems such as Roku and Apple TV.
It offers users access to a vast collection of videos and coverage of space events. Furthermore, access via browser, through the website plus.nasa.gov, expands availability to anyone with an internet connection.
This new endeavor aims to make NASA content more accessible, discoverable and safe for the public.
As part of a broader strategy that includes revamping the nasa.gov and science.nasa.gov websites, the agency seeks to create a robust foundation for research, climate data and information about missions, such as Artemis.

Pam Melroy, NASA Deputy Administrator, highlights:

That claim is backed by Marc Etkind, partner in the agency’s Headquarters Office of Communications, who emphasizes the breadth of NASA’s new digital presence, enabling everyone to have full-time access to humanity’s most fascinating stories.
Among the original content offered by NASA+, we find:
- Documentary series: Follow the James Webb Space Telescope and the telescope’s journey from laboratory to launch.
- Children’s programs: animations about planets, mysteries of the universe and intergalactic worlds feed the curiosity of young minds.
- Personal narratives: Stories from Black NASA astronauts offer an intimate look at their journeys and achievements.
- Scientific behind the scenes: Follow the work of scientists seeking to bring the first asteroid sample to America.
- Ultra high definition visuals: spectacular images of the cosmos with an immersive soundtrack, offering a unique sensory experience.
- Content in Spanish: Highlighting Hispanic and Latino NASA employees, plus climate content for kids.
O NASA+ will also broadcast live coverage of events, allowing viewers around the world to witness real-time launches of scientific experiments and astronauts into space.
This platform, a true gateway to the universe of space exploration, promises to be an inexhaustible source of knowledge, inspiration and cosmic wonders for all space enthusiasts.
