Last stop: these cars are on the list to leave the market in 2023

The automotive world is constantly evolving and adapting to demands and technological advances. Over the years, some car models end up becoming obsolete and can no longer keep up with market demands.

And that’s when some of these vehicles start to leave the market. In 2023, it will be no different, and you will have to say goodbye to four car models. Do you know which ones they are?

In the following list, we will tell you all the details about these four vehicles that will say goodbye to the automotive market later this year. Check out all the details from now on.

1. Chevrolet Camaro

One of the most iconic and beloved cars of recent years in Brazil, with even a country song dedicated to it, the Camaro will unfortunately have its production ended in 2023.

And the sadness doesn’t stop there, as Chevrolet’s headquarters in the United States announced the end of the legendary Chevrolet Camaro.

All indications are that the model will not be manufactured or have a direct replacement at this time. However, rumors in the auto industry suggest that the Camaro could return in a new form, possibly as an electric vehicle from the automaker.

So far, it is not known whether Chevrolet will actually reinvent the model or if this is just a rumor.

2. Chevrolet Cruze

With the exception of Argentina, the Chevrolet Cruze has already stopped being produced in practically all other countries. However, rumors in the automotive market indicate that the Cruze will be officially discontinued in November 2023, making room to prioritize the production of other models of the brand.

This strategic decision by the automaker aims to readjust its product line and direct resources to meet consumer demand and preferences.

While it’s sad for Cruze fans to see this iconic model discontinued, it’s a necessary step to adapt to changing market conditions.

3. Chevrolet Bolt EUV

General Motors has just launched the Chevrolet Bolt EUV in Brazil, but unfortunately, its zero-kilometer production is about to end. The automaker is focusing its efforts on the new platform, called Ultium, which will enable the manufacture of electric vehicles larger than the Bolt.

As a result, the newly imported model is not expected to remain around for long, as it relies on foreign production that will be discontinued.

General Motors’ strategy is to direct its resources and technologies towards the development of more advanced electric vehicles adapted to market needs.

4. Renault Captur

Finally, the Renault Captur is set to be discontinued later this year. However, the reason behind the end of production of the brand new model is related to the situation in the Ukrainian War.

The Captur is produced in Brazil, and the conflict in Eastern Europe directly affects the distribution of parts and other components for the vehicle. Given this situation, the French automaker is focusing its efforts on developing a new compact SUV.

Furthermore, this decision reflects the logistical challenges and uncertainties that the war brings, which directly affect Renault’s supply chain. The company’s focus is on adapting to the circumstances and directing its resources to other projects.
