It’s not Apple: research shows which cell phone brand is Brazilians’ favorite

Living in the 21st century without the constant presence of cell phones has become almost unthinkable. These small devices, which have become an extension of us, play a fundamental role in our everyday lives.

As we approach the end of the year, the holiday and gift-giving season brings to light the continued fascination we have with these gadgets.

Many treat themselves to new models, while others show generosity by gifting these multifunctional devices to friends and family.

These are Brazilians’ favorite cell phone brands

Cell phones have evolved from simple communication devices to true entertainment centers, work tools and portals to the digital world.

With people’s growing dependence on their smartphones, it’s hard to imagine life without them. They keep us connected with friends and family, provide real-time information, and are sources of fun and productivity.

However, the cell phone market is vast and varied, with countless brands and models to choose. In Brazil, a country known for its cultural and economic diversity, preferences for cell phone type and brand can vary significantly.

Surprisingly, a recent survey carried out by Hibou revealed that the most popular brand in Brazil is not the widely acclaimed Apple, as many might assume.

In fact, Samsung leads the market, with an impressive 55% of the Brazilian population preferring its devices. Apple, with its iPhones, occupies second position, being preferred by 29% of Brazilians.

The Motorola brand also enjoys a solid presence in the Brazilian market, reaching approximately 20% of consumers. A Xiaomiwhich has been gaining prominence globally, has a fan base of 17% in Brazil.

Asus and LG have a smaller share of the market, with 3% and 2%, respectively. Huawei, in turn, represents just 1% of Brazilians’ preference.

These numbers highlight the diversity of preferences of consumers in Brazil. Although the most well-known brands globally, such as Apple, still have a strong presence, Samsung is the undisputed leader in the country, offering a wide range of models that suit different needs and budgets.

As we approach the holidays, the search for technological gifts will certainly continue, with Brazilians opting for a variety of cell phone brands and models.
