Another update is coming to make life easier for all users of Meta’s messenger, WhatsApp. Now, according to the latest news announced, it will be possible to leave a pinned message at the top of the screen, in a conversation, whether in private or group conversations.

Pinned message update
Recently, the platform had announced the availability of new emojis for the platform, and as if that wasn’t enough, news talking about possible self-destructive audios was also the target of speculation.
However, now, another new feature is being announced to the public, regarding the possibility of leaving certain messages highlighted. In other words, fixed.
The benefit that this feature can bring to users is not losing essential information as new messages are sent.
Well, the current trend is: The more messages are sent, the more distant and difficult it will be to find certain subjects.

How will the tool work?
From what we can see, the operation will follow the following dynamic: when selecting a message that you would like to pin to the conversation, the option “Pin” (in Portuguese it means “to fix”).
Then, when you click on this option, you will be able to see your message being pinned at the top. Messages, documents, images and even links can be pinned.
Once you have pinned a message and want to return to the content in question, simply click on the selected message and you will be redirected to that location. The same goes for links!
Now, when it comes to pinning messages in groups, this will be a function only available to group administrators, otherwise the function cannot be enabled.
In private conversations, there is a certain probability that both users will have permission to pin a message.
This is a feature that took a while to be added to the app, but once it is available, it will certainly be very useful for many WhatsApp users. It will be a quick and easy way to highlight essential and extremely important topics.
When will it be available?
As usual, the feature will be rolled out gradually to all Android users. For iOS users, no information has yet been released about whether this feature will be available on their devices. There is no specific date for its availability for Android either. So, keep your app updated to avoid missing out.
