For weight loss and proper nutritional reeducation, natural foods should be included in the diet. However, consuming natural foods is not always possible in people’s routine, and so processed foods become an option.
While there are some good items on the market, others don’t offer what they’re selling. In this sense, we’ve listed some foods that hinder the weight loss.
It looks healthy, but it’s not
There are some foods that are not beneficial for weight loss. To help you in this selection process, we have listed some of them, as well as the reasons why they should not be consumed unconsciously.
1. Pâté or turkey breast
This food is still a processed meat, like salami, ham, and others. When preparing these products, chemicals are always added to preserve their storage, which are harmful to health in the long term. Therefore, the best option is to make your own homemade products with chicken meat and natural ingredients.
2. Powdered food – soup
Although it is a practical food, it does not offer many benefits to health. These preparations contain large amounts of sodium and preservatives, as they undergo an even longer process in the factories and are therefore considered ultra-processed.
To make your daily life easier and still consume natural and healthy foods, the best option is to prepare a larger quantity of vegetable soup, distribute it in containers and freeze it. This way, you will always have a delicious soup ready.
3. Diet foods
The indication of diet food means that there is a reduction in some component of that product, be it sugar or fat. In the case of sugar-free or diet chocolates, it is a product developed for diabetics, but its amount of fat is high.
Therefore, in the case of chocolate, for example, the best option is those with over 70% cocoa, as they are more natural and with less sugar and fat.
4. Bars
Cereal bars sold mostly in supermarkets for a low price contain a lot of sugar and preservatives. Therefore, they are not the best option when you want to to lose weight.
There are others, such as bars with a mix of nuts and seeds or protein bars. These are better choices, but they are a little more expensive. The most important thing is to always read the label and the list of ingredients.
