Recently Volodymyr Zelensky sat down for a meeting with Irish politicians Ceann Comhairle Seán Ó Fearghaíl and Seanad Cathaoirleach Mark Daly. Irish representatives visited the war-torn city of Kyiv last weekend after Russia’s brutal attack on its neighbors. During their meeting, the Irish delegates were informed by Zelensky that he did not appreciate former two division champion Conor McGregor, who faced Putin in Russia.

After the meeting, Mark Daly told the Herald: “He felt that he did not support Ukraine. This guy [Ukrainian president] He’s fighting a war, but he knows what’s going on all over the world, including Ireland.” [From Sunday World] The comments above were by Mr Zelensky about the UFC Irish superstar.

Despite his lack of affection for McGregor, the Ukrainian leader appreciated the support the Irish nation showed during the war in Ukraine. The lead vocalist and songwriter of the U2 group visited Kiev and gave a concert in a metro station, which, according to Daly, was much appreciated by the President of Ukraine.
