Luke Rockhold a very “friendly” welcome to the AKA gym by the former lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov.
Luke Rockhold has decided to move back to his former gym, the American Kickboxing Academy in San Jose, California. The fighter recently announced on his Instagram account that he has returned to San Jose, California, and posted a video of him wrestling with Khabib Nurmagomedov after his retirement. Khabib was already a 155-pound beast and held back in those days.
After retiring, Khabib gained a lot more weight from his fighting days and middleweight Rockhold had a tough time training. Recently, Luke appeared on the DC Check-In show. YouTube and talked about his experiences. When Daniel Cormier asked if he used “Khabib airlines” during training, Luke admitted that he had been beaten.
“Brother, this is bullshit number one. This is bullshit number one” He said Luke had been talking about Khabib’s height lately. “He gets a body lock on me and you put him in a side position and it’s like nothing you’ve ever experienced.”

What’s next for Luke Rockhold?
Luke Rockhold is looking to make his official return to the octagon for the first time since 2019 at UFC 277. The former middleweight Strikeforce and UFC champion will take on one-time middleweight title contender Paulo Costa in a 185-pound match in July 2022. Luke wants to reclaim the middleweight throne by defeating Costa.
However, Luke said he believed the fight could be delayed until August. Rockhold was supposed to make a comeback last year. Sean Strickland but a last-minute injury forced Luke to cancel the match. Luke’s last two fights didn’t go his way as he fell victim to two of the most devastating knockouts in UFC history. Two losses against yoel romero and Jan BlachowiczLuke will get another knockout artist in Paulo Costa and hopefully this time he will turn the script in his favor.
