The Black Monster’s response to Cody Garbrandt’s past tweets using racial slurs to get into angry waters is proof of that. After this discussion, Lewis ensured that Cody’s invitation to “cook” was not declined.
In 2018, Gardbrandt got into big trouble after fans found evidence of him using the N-word in his tweets. The former smallweight champion said he fully owns his mistakes and grew up among people who use the N-word a lot, which means it’s normal for him to use it.

Derrick “The Black Beast” Lewis responded to a report regarding Garbrandt’s apology and split his entire fanbase. In response to MMA Junkie’s tweet, Lewis wrote: “all good [Cody] you’re still invited to cook.” Lewis has always been a very carefree person and never took anything too seriously.

Joe Rogan is a huge fan of Derrick Lewis’s Instagram page.
If you’ve followed Joe Rogan’s podcast, you know that the UFC commentator is a huge fan of the UFC heavyweight. Rogan also has one of the biggest moments in UFC history recorded in a post-fight conversation with Lewis. Talking about his iconic post-fight “balls were hot” interview, Rogan also yelled at Lewis’s Instagram page.
“If there’s something crazy going on in the world, it’s on Derrick Lewis’s Instagram page,” said. The popular podcast host also helped the heavyweight fighter gain millions of followers by only mentioning the fighter’s arm on his podcast.
If you can’t find Black Beast’s username on the Instagram platform, he’s probably been banned from the app for posting something crazy. This is normal for the heavyweight fighter at this point. Fighter has been banned from his Instagram several times and his account has been restricted for posting some of the most hysterically violent things to happen in the world.
