UFC Las Vegas 62 saw Jonathan Martinez face off against Cub Swanson in the main game. Cub Swanson was making his Bantamweight debut but it didn’t go well for him as he was TKO by Jonathan Martinez.
The first lap started with Cub Swanson looking even more impressive, having a few good kicks and a double-legged landing. Martinez stood up and landed one knee on Swanson’s head and then another over his body, knocking Swanson to the ground, but was saved by the bell when the first lap was over.
The second round started with Martinez completely dominating his opponent. Martinez wanted to end the fight quickly, taking advantage of Swanson’s first-round damage minutes ago. Martinez knocked Swanson down, but Swanson stood up only to be on the side that took 3 heavy leg kicks to his left leg and finished the fight with 40 seconds.
Jonathan Martinez not only managed to get the biggest win of his career by beating a veteran like Cub Swanson, but he also managed to win with a rare leg kick TKO.
