Israel’s Adesanya was recently forced to relinquish the title to MSG to Alex Pereira after the Brazilian placed him in an unstable situation and ended the fight via TKO.

Now, it seems Israel Adesanya misery has increased. According to reports, Adesanya was arrested for carrying knuckles in her suitcase while leaving New York City. By law, brass knuckles are classified as a weapon and are illegal if carried on a person or in luggage. [H/T TMZSports]
Adesanya’s manager Tim Simpson A short time later, he made a statement and said:Israel was given a gift by a fan, which she put in her suitcase. When flagged at the airport, Israel quickly destroyed the item and cooperated with the authorities. Accordingly, he reported that the matter was denied and he was on his way home.”
It seems that the conflict with the authorities was only temporary and Adesanya is now free to leave her home for New Zealand. However, what a dramatic turn of events for the former champion!
