“Kickboxing with small gloves” – Robert Whittaker predicts the highly anticipated fight of Israel Adesanya and Alex Periera

Robert Whittaker thinks Alex Pereira could have done more harm to Israel Adesanya than Aussie could have done in the past. Robert Whittaker, who lost his last championship fight against Israel Adesanya, will be back on the field this weekend.

At UFC Paris’ media day, Robert Whittaker answered some questions from the media.

One of the most obvious questions was his views on the upcoming middleweight title fight between them. Israel Adesanya and Alex Pereira. While Whittaker was focused on his upcoming fight this weekend and nothing else, he seemed interested in the Izzy-Pereira fight. Whittaker explained that this will be a kickboxing match but with smaller gloves. According to the former champion, it’s a struggle between a defensive and offensive forward and it looks fun.

“This is an interesting fight. I think it will be a kickboxing fight with small gloves.‘ said Whittaker.You should have a tall defensive forward versus a tall offensive player. It will be interesting, he is very tall. He will have advantages in the batting division that I don’t have because he only has distance to reach.” Whittaker explained that little gloves will make a lot of difference this time around, given that Izzy and Pereira have fought each other twice before.

“The small gloves will be a big variable compared to their first two fights against each other.” Aforementioned Whittaker.
