Brandon Moreno and Kai Black France are targeted for a match at UFC 277 that will crown an interim champion in the absence of Deiveson Figueiredo. The two faced off before at UFC 245 where the Assassin doll culminated in a unanimous decision victory over Kiwi.
According to Ariel Helwani’s initial report, both fighters have verbally agreed to a match that will take place on July 30, but the watch-and-pay location has yet to be announced. The upper echelons of the flyweight division have been held hostage for over two years in a constant struggle between Moreno and Deiveson Figueiredo in their highly exciting trilogy. However, everyone seems tired of the constant battles between the two, and the split will likely want to continue.
