Will Cody Garbrandt and TJ Dillashaw fight in the future?
A fight between Garbrandt and Dillashaw certainly makes a lot of financial sense. The grudge they share cannot be written for TV and is therefore always an easy monetization tool.
However, career-wise, this move doesn’t make much sense for either of them. Garbrandt is not sure what league he wants to compete in right now. While he has recently descended to flyweight with plans to rise again, he currently has no rank in either division.

Dillashaw had made it clear that his sole aim was to reclaim his title in 135. A fight against Garbrandt would certainly not get him into this position. He could benefit Garbrandt by placing him high in the league, but it’s unclear whether he’ll still be able to stand up to the small-weight bests.
