Medvedev is known for his great serves, and conditions favored those who served better. Despite this, Medvedev did not win the match and was understandably annoyed by his own performance.
“Especially on a court this fast, it’s terrible not to get results. It means I’m not good enough and should be better. Mentally, I don’t care. I don’t care if I play in the top 10 or not. But it’s harder to play with the top 10 players in terms of tennis. That means I have to play better tennis against these guys. That’s what I’ll try to do next time because there is no other option.
“I didn’t really feel too much nervous. I just needed to play better and serve better. I don’t know what else to say. I was supposed to win the match, but it didn’t. So I have to do better next time. There’s no other option,” aforementioned Medvedev He made statements to the press after losing to Tsitsipas.
