Talking about the rules of the balls at the press conference held after the match, Iga Swiatek said, “we make more mistakes [with these balls], sure, so I don’t think it’s really nice to watch visually, I don’t know why they’re any different than men’s. Fifteen years ago, women probably had elbow injuries because the balls were heavier and they replaced them with women’s balls. But right now we are so well prepared physically that I don’t think that will happen.

“I feel it is really difficult to control them, but everyone has the same conditions, so we try to deal with it. To be honest, I do not understand why they are different,” Iga Swiatek added.
