Martina Navratilova even appreciated Adidas when they finally decided to end ties with Kanye West.
Navratilova was one of many who supported Adidas. In context, the German sportswear and accessories company has recently ended its partnership with American rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, for making antisemitic statements.
West’s comments drew a huge backlash not only from Jews but also from other communities. With Adidas parting ways, Navratilova used her Twitter account to show her support for the decision. “Domino Kanye, domino… And well done @adidas!!!”
adidas’ detailed explanation you read, “Adidas does not tolerate anti-Semitism and other forms of hate speech. Ye’s recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness.“
West has yet to comment on the canceled deals. It would be in the West’s interest not to try to defend itself, with suspensions and bans from social media networks and as one of the biggest villains for ordinary citizens right now.
