Bob Bryan made a statement about the Russia-Ukraine war. “We were all saddened to see the tragedy in Ukraine” said. He continued to say, “Children should be on playgrounds and tennis courts, not in bomb shelters and trains running from their homes.”
Many clips were posted on social media from Ukraine, showing that the children were separated from their fathers, confined to shelters, and that they had nowhere to escape this reality, hungry and weak. This was not well received by many and allowed the children to focus on their safety and their dreams.
The Bryan Brothers embody tennis as a movement for peace and unity, an activity in which people, regardless of nationality or age, compete with each other for the sole purpose of winning. “The world of tennis is a close-knit family and I’m sure we will have an incredible amount of support from the players when we launch the auction on March 8th.” said.
