The Samsung Galaxy Note 10 Plus has a set of cameras. From the ultra-wide and wide lens to the telephoto lens and the DepthVision camera, it is also equipped with capable lenses. The AI smarts of the Snapdragon 855 support the camera part. Yes, Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus can click pictures with excellent quality. The good news is that by tweaking a few features and settings, you can make them great.
In this post today, we will show you all the camera tips and tricks of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10 Plus.
Since it will be a long post, let’s get right to it.
1. Scene Optimizer
Scene Optimizer is one of the latest additions to the Galaxy Note series. As the name suggests, it is an AI function that helps improve photo quality by examining the object and making appropriate changes.
To enable Scene Optimizer, go to Camera Settings (small gear icon at top left) and toggle the first switch.
After that, you will see a blue icon that comes to life when you point your camera at an object. Within a second it will recognize the object and apply the necessary changes.
Pro Tip:
2. Super Stable Mode for Videos
Shaking Hands? Why not let the camera do the stabilization of your videos? Note 10 comes with Super Steady Mode, which provides software-based stabilization for video recording, thus providing smoother and shake-free recordings. Available for wide angle lens and primary lens.
To activate it, turn on video mode and tap on the little hand icon at the top. So, all you have to do is record your shake-free videos.
Note that 30fps videos are limited to 1080p.
3. Save as HDR10+ Videos
Like the Samsung Galaxy S10, the Galaxy Note 10 and 10+ also support HDR10+. This is a high dynamic range format that optimizes color and contrast, helping you to produce richer and more realistic videos.
To enable it, go to Camera settings and select Advanced Recording Options. Next, select the HDR10+ video. Note that you may not get the same result every time as it is an experimental feature.
4. Use Zoom Microphone
Another lab feature making its debut is the Zoom-in microphone. As the name suggests, it converges to the noise thus amplifying the sound and suppressing other background noises.
The setting is hidden under Advanced Recording Options. All you have to do is turn on the switch.
5. Night Mode and Ultra Wide
Now, some bad news. The combination of Night Mode and Ultra Wide Mode isn’t all that good on the Note 10 Plus. Even though you’re going to be shooting a wide-angle shot, the quality will be somewhat grainy and plenty of noise.
Therefore, the best option is to click on a regular picture in night mode.
Do you know
6. Ultra Wide Shape Correction
The Galaxy Note 10’s wide-angle lens is great for capturing expansive landscapes. However, when using wide-angle lenses, they can give a fisheye appearance, especially if there are buildings or other flat structures on the sides of the frame.
Fortunately, the Galaxy Note 10 comes with a built-in option to make these fixes. However, Samsung does not enable it by default.
To make these changes go to Settings and scroll down until you see Save Options. Next, select Ultra Wide Shape Fix.
Cool Tip
7. Editing Mods
Want a clutter-free camera interface? Not every camera mode can be used in daily life. Often times you will find Night Mode, Live Focus and Food Mode used more than others. After all, who can stop clicking a picture of a delicious-looking plate of spaghetti with meatballs?
Anyway, back to the topic, if you’re looking for ways to mess up the camera interface, there is a way. Go to Settings > Camera Mods > Edit Mods and uncheck any mods you don’t like.
And while you’re here, you can rearrange the different modes to suit you.
8. Shooting Methods
It’s very common to show palms to take a photo. With the Note 10, you have to do things a little differently. Say Hello to the S Pen.
Yes, the S Pen can click pictures. So point the camera at yourself (or your subject) and click the button of your S Pen. It’s that simple.
9. Capture Interesting Videos
Two years ago, the Live Focus mode on the Galaxy Note 8 was one of the most talked about features. Now the company is ready with a new Live Focus mode and this time for videos.
Not only can you blur the background of videos, but you can choose from three different styles: Color Point, Big Circle and Glitch. To record in Live Focus mode, swipe to the appropriate mode.
My favorite mod is Glitch, which is yours?
10. Direct Sharing to Instagram
Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Note 10 can take great photos. And the best thing about it is that you can share photos to Instagram directly from the camera interface.
All you have to do is take a shot, tap the circular thumbnail to open it, and you’ll see the Instagram icon at the bottom. It’s clean, isn’t it?
