The Nexus 5X faces three rivals today, none other than the Galaxy S6, iPhone 6S and LG G4. Who takes the best day and night photos?

Indoors, when the light is good, each of the four sensors performs well. We see some differences, but nothing really alarming, there is quality for each. Outdoors, the Nexus 5X photo sensor stands out by offering more vibrant colors. Things get a little more complicated at night. LG G4 sometimes tendency to overexposure especially in the last photo. More generally, it outperforms its three rivals in low light when it has to offer the best aperture.
In macro, the Nexus 5X really shows its full potential. Ditto for the remaining Galaxy S6 one of the best on the market, the Sony Xperia Z5’s photo sensor has since surpassed that in DxOMark. The iPhone 6S struggles, but although the level of detail it offers is not as good as its competitors, it still offers an accurate result.
