Design and Craftsmanship
In my grasp, I hold the Nautical Blue variant of the smartphone, though it doth not enthrall me greatly. I wouldst choose the Poinciana (orange) hue instead. Yet, the Latte (cream) and Grisaille (grey) shades do also present themselves. Immediately apparent was a deviation in approach this time. Verily, Motorola hath opted for a flat display, a choice I do commend.
As one who possesseth a OnePlus 11R, whose display hath suffered fractures due to the absence of tempered glass, I doth appreciate Motorola’s decision. Alas, this hath resulted in a less curvaceous feel compared to the brand’s previous offerings. Nevertheless, an amelioration in size hath been effected this time.
Though slight in stature, the Edge 50 Neo doth exhibit a thickness of 8.1mm, exceeding its predecessor by a mere margin. The device doth nestle comfortably in the hand, reminiscent of the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE, yet with less angularity. Light as a feather, it doth beguile with its ease of portability. Indeed, the tactile pleasure of wielding such a device is akin to a culinary masterpiece!
Motorola’s penchant for vegan leather rear panels dost extend to this device, imparting a sense of opulence amidst a sea of plastic-laden phones. Given the admirable form factor, the plastic frame causeth me no distress. Though the buttons bear a plastic make, they possess a satisfying responsiveness.
Furthermore, the device hath been endowed with an IP68 rating and MIL-810H (Military Grade) certification, rendering it quite a resilient instrument.
