Geekbench 3.0 2500 2100 2800
SunSpider 416ms 900ms 830ms

The first criterion concerns the metering 3DMark Ice Storm. How do CPU and GPU work together? to give the best possible performance for the system. We see that the iPhone 5S shows 14,000 points. The latter is therefore much lower than the LG G2 or Xperia Z1, which comes out with 15400 points and 16800 points respectively. Big victory for Sony’s photophone!

Next comes the GFXBench 2.7 T-Rex HD, with “on-screen” and “off-screen” tests designed to demonstrate the capabilities of the graphics department. Surprisingly, the iPhone 5S seems to outperform the 24.7fps out-of-screen and 34.7fps on-screen versus the 21.8fps and 23.0fps displayed by the Xperia Z1.

As for Geekbench 3.0, which specifically evaluates memory and navigation performance, the Xperia Z1 scores 2800 against 2500, beating the iPhone 5S by 300 points. Also, the LG G2 displays a score of 2100 points, which is weaker than its two rivals.

Finally, the last criterion concerns SunSpider for navigation. The iPhone 5S immediately shows its advantage. 64-bit processor that optimizes software performance while surfing the internet. So for the iPhone 5S we only find a time of 416 ms, while the weakest of the three, the LG G2, does the same at 900 ms.

Solution

We could expect more from a 64-bit processor smartphone, but the iPhone 5S performs well in many ways. It will probably be necessary to wait for the software part to be optimized and improved to achieve better results.
