When we look at the features of the four tablets, we can say that the iPad Air is in a very good condition. Indeed, the new Apple version offers a nearly 10-inch Retina display and is equipped with: 64-bit processor It resides in the iPhone 5S and an M7 coprocessor. Moreover, the American company stated that the graphics department will offer much better performance than the previous model.
However, the Samsung tablet Snapdragon 800 processor and 3GB RAM, enough to expand the capabilities of the machine for games and resource-intensive applications. The Sony device, on the other hand, is a little older than the others, but has a very sufficient processor for daily use.
In terms of space, all tablets offer 16 and/or 32 or even 64GB natively accessible or expandable thanks to a microSD (although the price will be felt) the iPad Air.
On the multimedia side, the Galaxy Note 10.1 Edition 2014 and Sony Xperia Z Tablet tablets offer the best cameras: 8 megapixels at the back and 2 megapixels at the front. For the other two tablets, there is a 5-megapixel camera and a 1.2-megapixel front camera only.
If you’re looking for broadband, you shouldn’t go for the tablet. Asus Transformer Pad TF701T that doesn’t offer 4G, unlike the other three. Otherwise the Wi-Fi can be used independently of the product, still happy.
Let’s come to the most interesting point of these products: their autonomy. Batteries run from 6000 mAh (Sony tablet) to 8220 mAh (Samsung tablet). Only practical tests will show the true autonomy of different devices, but Apple guarantees about 10 hours of autonomy on Wi-Fi.
The Cupertino company planned to introduce an even lighter tablet. iPad Air therefore weighs 478 grams for 7.5mm thickness, making it lighter than the Galaxy Note 10.1 Edition 2014 for Asus tablet. Regardless, the Xperia Z Tablet beats the record thin at just 6.9mm and weighs in at 495 grams, slightly higher than the iPad.
Finally, Apple played the big game and the tablet is available in a Wi-Fi version and 16GB internal memory for €489; this is cheaper than Samsung’s new tablet or the tablet and keyboard offered by Asus. Conversely, the Galaxy Note 10.1 Edition 2014, undoubtedly the most powerful device in this file, is available on Amazon for €593 (the most expensive of the four). Meanwhile, Sony’s Xperia Z Tablet can be purchased for €458, which is a bargain overall.
