2016 was going to be a year where everything was planned. At the beginning of the year, the Galaxy S7 was responsible for setting the course for the next 12 months, putting Samsung to the level of great conquerors, while the Note 7 was to dominate for the last time.
Unfortunately, not everything went as planned for the Korean company. After pushing the Note 7’s release a little too hard to counter Apple and the iPhone 7, it found itself facing a major problem: batteries with explosive tendencies.
That’s not to say that the two phones, and especially the iPhone 7 Plus, can’t be compared as they are until the manufacturer fixes their issues. That’s why today the PhoneBuff channel offers us an important test: drop resistance.
The test is conclusive: with its metal shell, the iPhone 7 Plus is much more durable than the Galaxy Note 7 made of glass. Samsung’s phone from the first time it fell behind the device visibly breaking down and it keeps getting worse from worse to worse. But over time, it is more durable than the iPhone, which stopped working after 10 shocks.
But do not worry: if you take care of your smartphone, it will rarely have to endure such abuses. The most important thing for now is to take advantage of the Note 7 recall to replace your device.
If you’ve been impressed with Samsung’s latest phablet, you’ll have to be patient: it will only be available again in France at the end of October. Enough to give you time to look for a shell to protect it.
