Considering the metal design of the HTC 10, it will be more robust than the Galaxy S7 with heavy use of glass and therefore more susceptible to falls. But just to be sure, PhoneBuff decided to make a video to test the resistance of the two. They performed four drop tests: on the back, bottom edge, left edge, and front. For the first test, as you can imagine, Samsung’s latest flagship did not survive the fall, the glass completely shattered. HTC 10 suffered only minor damage.
For the bottom edge test, HTC’s latest model appears to have suffered a little more speaker damage than the Galaxy S7, but this may be due to the Taiwanese smartphone’s dark paintwork. The drop on the left edge is not so obvious, it’s more noticeable on HTC, again due to its paint.

Finally, let’s move on to the test on the front panel. There the screens of the two smartphones did not resist, but the HTC 10’s screen still works when the Galaxy’s screen is no longer in use. To go further, they repeated the test on the front for HTC to see that the screen was no longer usable. 32 falls for it to be so, impressive! As a result, the HTC 10 is truly more durable than the Galaxy S7 in every way.
