You are busy. Managing your brand’s multiple social networks can be difficult. We got it. Therefore, you can post to all social media simultaneously to maximize efficiency.
But here’s the thing: There’s a right way and an inaccurate way to post to all your social media networks at once. In fact, a sophisticated social media strategy doesn’t need to take extra time.
If you want to know how to post on all social media at once and do it right, there are a few things to remember. Here you will learn:
- Why you shouldn’t Post it on all your social media at the same time.
- How to use Moyens I/O, an application that broadcasts on all social media at the same time?
- How to share on all your social media at the same time? right wayand avoid appearing spammy.
Read on for tips to take your social media planning strategy to the next level.
1. Viewers are active on different channels at different times
If you’re posting content at the same time of day for your brand’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn and Pinterest audiences, you’re probably missing out on reaching all of your brand’s followers.
This is because the time you are most likely to reach your Facebook followers does not necessarily have to be the same as when your Twitter followers are online. In fact, there is an ideal time to post on every social channel.
For example, the best time for B2B brands to post content on Facebook is between 9am and 2pm EST:

And this optimal timeframe is shorter for Twitter, 11am to 1pm EST:

You want to publish at peak times so that your content reaches as many of your social followers as possible. When you’re posting on all social media at once, you’re probably missing at least one channel’s peak time. That means missing out on interacting with some of your brand’s loyal followers.
2. You post for different audiences
Another reason why your brand may not post to all social media at once is because you’re probably talking to a different demographic on each social platform.
For example, your LinkedIn followers are more likely to be men between the ages of 25 and 34:

But your Snapchat followers are more likely to be female and 34 years old or younger:

Therefore, the user following your brand on Snapchat may be very different from the user following you on LinkedIn.
By tailoring the posting time, posting day and messaging, you are speaking directly to the target audience of that social channel.
3. You will avoid content fatigue
That said, some of your brand’s same followers may be connecting with your brand’s content across multiple social media platforms. In this case, when you post to all social media at the same time and with the same messages, you run the risk of that audience seeing duplicate content. At best, this will make your brand appear lazy, and at worst, it will annoy your followers, who are already dealing with a flood of online content. It may even result in unfollowing.
Instead, mix up your content a bit. For example, the posts Nike shared on Twitter:
It’s not exactly the same as the one he posted on Instagram:
4. Doesn’t look unprofessional
When you post to all social media at once, your brand is more likely to make social media mistakes.
Content won’t always look the way you want it to
Every social platform works differently. For example, each channel has different size requirements for image and video. Twitter limits messaging to 280 characters. Instagram Reels are 15 to 30 seconds, while TikTok videos are one minute.
So, when you bulk share, it may mean that the images are awkwardly cropped for a different platform. Your video may not play. Or, the content you want to show on Twitter is not fully displayed.
Customizing content for each platform ensures that the content you share looks good on any platform.
Your hashtag strategy might go down
The number of hashtags you use in a post also differs from platform to platform.
For example, adding a maximum of 30 hashtags to an Instagram post might seem odd on Facebook. And it won’t work at all on Twitter, which has a 280 character limit.
Your brand probably hasn’t created a social media marketing plan
Spending time creating a social media marketing plan gives your brand a good idea of who your target audience is and how that audience differs across each social media channel.
It’s also useful because:
- You can create a coordinated, cohesive social campaign.
- When you plan this, your brand may also plan to cross-promote social content.
- You can schedule your social content calendar so that your audience can expect content at certain times. This can help you gain loyal followers.
However, it is possible to post to all social media at the same time and make it work for your brand. You can edit your posts for each social platform when you use the apps to share on all social media at the same time.
Here’s how to use Moyens I/O to post a message to multiple social platforms.
Step 1: Connect your social channels to Moyens I/O.
Connect your brand’s channels to Moyens I/O or your preferred social media management tool (we’re biased, of course). You can currently connect your brand’s Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, YouTube and Pinterest accounts to your Moyens I/O dashboard.
To link a profile:
click To add social network.
Choose which channel to add.
And follow the commands. If you are connecting to Instagram or Facebook Business profiles, you will be asked to authorize the account.
Moyens I/O will also ask if you want to connect more profiles. Keep adding until all channels of your brand are integrated into the platform.
Step 2: In Scheduler, choose when you want to post on all social media.
Click on the date and time you want your content to be published.
Next, click Create Post.
Step 3: Choose which profiles you want the post to be published on.
In the first box, select the accounts you want the message to be published on.
Here we post on two social channels to make things easier. However, depending on your Moyens I/O plan, you can stream up to 35 profiles.
Step 4: Enter your text and image.
Moyens I/O will show you character limits as you type. Be warned if your message is too long for Twitter, for example:
You will also see a preview of the content that will be posted on all social media at the same time, in the right frame.
Step 5: Choose your broadcast date and time.
Step 6: And press program.
You will see your scheduled posts in your Scheduler.
Step 7: Don’t forget to customize it for each platform!
Even when using an app that posts to all social media at the same time, it’s important to take the time to edit the content for the particular social platform.
That means considering things like image sizes, hashtag usage, language, and the type of captions you write. You’ll find more details on this in the next section below.
And make sure each post has a slightly different message. (Here we explain why word-for-word cross-posting is not ideal.)
Click on the post to adapt it for a particular social channel. Next, click Edit.
Update the message or picture. Here, the Twitter post has been customized by reducing the title length and adding more hashtags.
And the LinkedIn message will be tailored by issuing the CTA asking followers to “retweet”.
Avoid making these mistakes, even when using an app that posts to all social media at the same time.
Double check subtitle length and character count
There is an ideal post length for every social media platform. Posting a long, beautifully written caption on Instagram works:
But on Facebook, he can appear very anxious. And it would have been cut off on Twitter for going far beyond the 280-character limit. Edit posts to make sure the headline is the ideal length to grab your audience’s attention.
Mark this: We’ve put together a reference guide on captioning and ideal post length for each social media platform.
Make sure your photos are the right size
Avoid pixelated photos. To make your content look professional and eye-catching, make sure you know the exact dimensions your images should be for each social platform.
Mark this: We’ve put together this reference post that compiles all the ideal image sizes for each social media platform.
Pro tip: Moyens I/O customers can use the in-board photo editor to adjust the size of their images before publishing.
Post content that matches each platform’s audience

…but what goes into one channel may not make sense in another.
If you’re considering posting on all social media at once, perhaps reconsider, especially if you’re joining a particular trend.
Use a language specific to each social channel
Don’t send your followers to Twitter to pin content. Or ask your Facebook followers to Retweet. Instead, edit each post to make sure the language you’re using is the appropriate language for the platform.
For example, Lush Cosmetics posts this message to Facebook:
But he customizes it for Instagram by redirecting followers to the link in his bio.
Consider how many hashtags you use
Posting your hashtags on all social channels without double-checking them can mean your post is full of hashtags. Or it could mean you’re losing interaction because you’re not using it enough!
Mark this: This post includes details on the optimal number of hashtags for each social channel and tips for including them.
Double check handles and labels
If you’re mentioning another brand in a post and then posting the same post on another social channel, keep in mind that brand attitude may change for different platforms.
Forgetting to edit handles and labels means you won’t be able to link to any users and you’ll lose out on expanding the reach of your content. Or it could mean you accidentally tagged someone completely different!
By keeping these tips in mind, your brand will be able to make social media posts both efficient and effective across multiple platforms!
