Following the likes of Instagram, Snapchat, Facebook, and more, TikTok is the latest app to jump on the trend. And business is both good and good for your business. Let’s get straight to the point before I get confused any further.

What are TikTok Stories and how do they work?

TikTok Stories Short video clips that expire after 24 hours. Although slightly shorter, they are similar to Instagram Stories, with a maximum limit of 15 seconds (Instagram’s long-standing 16-second limit was recently updated to 60 seconds).

Each 15-second Story you post appears in sequence, so you can put together a series of short clips if you need more time to deliver your message.

Despite their similarities to Stories on other platforms, some features set TikTok Stories apart from the pack.

When you post a Story on TikTok, it appears in your main stream, tagged with a blue Story icon that takes viewers to that particular Story. This means all of your relevant content lives in one placeEven if you have to stream multiple episodes because you exceeded the 15 second time limit.

Even better (if you don’t have a troll problem), TikTok Stories includes the comment section embedded in the post. While Instagram Stories only allow viewers to respond to a story privately, TikTok offers another place for conversations to continue publicly.
