Threads will no longer harass you to publish your posts on Facebook and Instagram

In the beginning there were Threads. But Threads wasn’t perfect, so the app had a great idea: listening to its users’ suggestions and requests. This is how Meta’s new social network quickly acquired a dedicated news feed for followed accounts. Since then, it has continued to integrate new features to complement it or fix slightly annoying flaws.

If you live outside Europe or had a chance to test Threads before it was blocked in the Old Continent, you know that the app has an unfortunate tendency to systematically ask if you want to share the post we just wrote on Facebook. and Instagram. Most of the time the answer is clearly no… which doesn’t stop Threads from attacking again every time.

Threads further differentiates itself from Facebook and Instagram

Fortunately, Threads has once again listened to its community to thrive. There is now an option to disable these annoying messages. To do this, simply go to: Settings > Privacy > Share your posts on other apps. Note that the latter is not yet available in France; This is not surprising considering that the social network is not yet officially available in Europe.

It seems like it won’t take long for the world to be on our side in this regard. The information comes to us from Alessandro Paluzzi, an engineer who revealed the next new features in Meta’s services. The latter shared a screenshot of the app suggesting that Mark Zuckerberg’s group was preparing to lift the blockade in Europe. As a reminder, the latter is waiting to comply with the DSA before opening the floodgates.
