They claimed that players should feel a sense of accomplishment, as it takes a lot of effort to unlock a few specific characters in Battlefront 2. They put Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader behind a paywall – that is, the most recognizable characters in the Star Wars universe and probably the main reason some people bought the game. This comment received 683,000 downvotes before the thread was locked. Prior to that, the most downvoted review had just over 20,000 downvotes. As a result, the EA community had to listen and admit they were wrong. Finally they changed the price of the game.
   
2. Contrary to the 1PerfectlyBalanced1 – EA discussion in the Thanosdidnothingwrong sub-title, the second most downvoted comment in Reddit history was actually a joke. It is a reference to Thanos, the greatest villain of the Marvel universe, who changed the balance of the universe. This user requested downvotes so that the top comment and post would have a balanced contrast of upvotes and downvotes. It resulted in 88906 negative votes.

3. Roll20 admin NolanT in his own subunit – This is another example of how Reddit “owns” a corporate rep. Basically, the executive of this virtual tabletop role-playing game company tried to justify why they censored criticism of their platform. This talk showed why a company shouldn’t run its designated forums on Reddit and it’s better to choose community moderators. The post received 59778 negative votes.
4. Admiral-_-Awesome on WTF sub – This is an NSFW so we’ll skip it. It resulted in 51972 negative votes.
5. Bren12310 on BikiBottomTwitter- This user also requested a downvote by providing a picture of Squidward. It got 37749 downvotes.
6. 96Phoenix on Me_irl – Another example of users asking for downvotes. He pointed his finger at the ground and the post got 24333 downvotes before it got locked.
