The new extension, called “LinkedIn TLDR,” uses artificial intelligence to automatically summarize overly detailed LinkedIn messages into a sentence or two with a simple click. But what makes this especially fun is is his default mode, taking these summaries and injecting them with a healthy dose of satirical humor.
The work of designer Soren Iverson, LinkedIn TLDR was first conceived as a joke intended to mock the overly philosophical messages that litter the news feeds of professional networking sites. But the idea turned into a real extension.
Although it is of course extremely funny, The extension is also legitimately useful for quickly digesting the key points of long articles when time is limited. It seems perfectly suited for browsing your LinkedIn feed during work breaks without getting lost in endless, rambling anecdotes. The free extension is now available in the Chrome Web Store and only requires permission to view and edit content from LinkedIn itself. Of course, we recommend you try it on your colleagues’ publications.
