Bumble, a very innovative dating app, gives female users a leading role. In addition, it is an application that pays special attention to privacy. Enabling private mode is one such feature. However, you cannot use Bumble regularly while in this mode. Here’s more about it and how to use Bumble while in private mode.
How Private Mode Works
Private mode is there so people don’t always ping you. While engaged, this feature makes you invisible to everyone except those you’re directly swiping or messaging. This is an innovative feature that has played a huge role in changing the world of online dating apps.
However, you cannot be invisible to others and use the app regularly. If that were the case, ethics would be very questionable. Therefore, you cannot continue browsing and scrolling while in private mode. So how can you see Bumble privately?
Running Private Mode
Unfortunately, there are no hacks or cheats that will let you use Bumble normally while in private mode. You will always be limited. However, if you think of private mode as “being online”, you can make it work. In other words, turn on private mode when not browsing/scrolling and turn it off when you want to view Bumble normally. However, there is no limit to how often you can turn this mod on or off, so knock yourself out.
Using private mode like this will only leave a small window of time for random people to swipe and message you. It may not be ideal, but at least you won’t have to worry about getting messages from random people while you’re “offline” (private). If you get a Bumble notification while in private mode, you can be sure it’s from someone who came to you. to do (someone you swipe directly or message before).
Bumble’s Private Detector
Unfortunately, private mode doesn’t guarantee that you’ll get rid of seeing things you don’t want to see on Bumble from time to time. For example, you might have swiped someone right because they looked completely normal, but they might still send you weird nude photos that you definitely want to protect yourself from.
This is where Bumble’s Private Detector comes into play. This is an algorithm that automatically determines if a photo contains questionable or explicit content. This function will ask you if you want to see this photo. If you accept, the picture will appear. If you reject it, it disappears from the chat. You will then be prompted to block that particular user. If you choose to block them, they will be removed from the message screen and you will not be able to see each other’s profiles.
Alternatively, if Private Detector detects that the image you’ve posted contains obscene content, Bumble will remind you that posting lewd content may cause you to be reported. If you continue and are indeed reported, you will no longer be able to use the app.
Unfortunately, this feature is only available on iOS devices and within the US for now.
Browsing Bumble with Security & Privacy
As mentioned above, there is no way to enable private mode in Bumble and use it normally. However, if you turn on private mode every time you finish browsing or swiping, it will prevent you from receiving messages directly from people you have not swiped or messaged before. Private Detector will provide even more security for you.
