Step 1. Add your LinkedIn account to your Moyens I/O dashboard

First, you need to connect Moyens I/O and LinkedIn. Note that you can add both LinkedIn profiles and LinkedIn pages to your Moyens I/O account.

You only need to do this once. Next time you want to schedule LinkedIn posts, you can skip to step 2.

  1. Open a new browser window and sign out of your LinkedIn account.
  2. In the Moyens I/O control panel, profile photo (My profile), then click Manage accounts and teams.

Step 2. Create and schedule a LinkedIn post

  1. From the Moyens I/O control panel, Createselect , then to mail.

How can you view and edit scheduled LinkedIn posts?

Once you’ve planned your LinkedIn content, you have a few options if you want to view it or make changes.

Option 1: List view in Moyens I/O control panel

When you added your LinkedIn account to Moyens I/O, it automatically created a new LinkedIn Dashboard. By default, this dashboard contains two streams:

  • my updatesshowing content you’ve already posted
  • timedshows a list of all the content you plan to post on LinkedIn and the upcoming post time for each.

To edit any of your scheduled shipments, including the scheduled shipment time, simply pencil icon at the bottom of the article. If you want to delete the post completely, three points bottom right, then To delete.

Option 2: Calendar view in Moyens I/O Planner

Use the Moyens I/O Planner for a more comprehensive view of your scheduled LinkedIn posts, including how they fit into your overall social media sharing schedule.

You will see all your scheduled content for all your social media accounts. If you only want to see your LinkedIn posts, click Social Accounts in the top left corner of the screen and select the LinkedIn pages and/or profile you want to view, then To apply.

  1. Click on any post to edit it, including changing the scheduled time or deleting the post altogether. You can also choose to move the post to drafts if you decide you’re not ready to make a commit yet but want to save it for later.

How to schedule multiple LinkedIn posts at once

With Moyens I/O Bulk Composer (available on paid plans), you can schedule up to 350 simultaneous shipments. These posts can be split between your LinkedIn profile and LinkedIn pages (and other social accounts).

Step 1. Prepare your bulk shipment file

  1. From the Moyens I/O control panel, navigate to: Publisher and then Contents tab in the top menu. click Collective Composer under Content Resources.

  1. click Download sample. This will provide a basic CSV template that you can use to enter the content of your bulk posts.
  2. Open the file in a spreadsheet program, ideally Google Sheets.
  3. Enter the scheduled date and time of your post in Column A, the text of your post in Column B, and an optional link in Column C.

Step 2. Upload your batch file

  1. From the Moyens I/O control panel, navigate to: Publisher and then Contents tab in the top menu. click Collective Composer under Content Resources.
  2. click Select the file to upload, select your file and Open. Select and click the LinkedIn profile or page you want to post to. Review posts.
  3. Fix marked errors and click Schedule all posts.

3 tips for scheduling LinkedIn posts

1. Schedule at the right time to increase engagement

Moyens I/O’s research shows that the best time to post on LinkedIn is 9:00 a.m. on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. But that’s just an average. The exact time to post for your audience will vary based on location, demographics and other factors.

As we mentioned above, Moyens I/O’s Best Time to Post feature can show you the best time to schedule posts on LinkedIn for your specific audience. You’ll see the suggestions directly in the schedule box, but you can also enter Moyens I/O Analytics for more specific timing data.

  1. From the Moyens I/O control panel, Analytical, later best time to post.
  2. Select the LinkedIn page or profile you want to analyze. You can see recommendations for the best time to schedule your posts according to various goals:
  • Increase interaction: Pages and profiles

  • Raise awareness: Pages only

You’ll see a heatmap showing when your LinkedIn posts performed best for the chosen destination. You can point to any square to see the average response to your posts that day and time.

2. Know when to pause your LinkedIn posts

Planning LinkedIn posts ahead of time is a great way to save time while maintaining a consistent LinkedIn presence. However, this is not something you can just set and forget.

We live and work in a fast-moving world, and it’s important to be aware of major news events, trends, and potential crises that could affect your scheduled posts or make previously created content inappropriate. (Hint: Social listening is a good way to stay in the spirit of the times.)

  1. From the Moyens I/O control panel, click on your profile picture to go. My profile, then click Manage accounts and teams.
  2. Select the organization whose content you want to pause. Enter a reason that makes sense to the teams involved, and then suspend.
  3. All posts in Publisher will be marked with the Suspended yellow warning and will not be published at the scheduled time.

3. Promote and target scheduled LinkedIn posts

Everything we’ve talked about so far focuses on scheduling organic LinkedIn posts. However, you can use the same steps to create scheduled LinkedIn sponsored posts for your business page.
