How to Get Temperature Filter on Snapchat

Having trouble finding the temperature filter on Snapchat? Have you ever wondered why there are so many online videos and articles about this feature? After all, the temperature filter has now become a label. True. Temperature and battery filters have been moved to the label bank. The change happened because Snapchat users wanted to be able to move around and resize their temperature and battery graphs.

If this is something you want to do yourself, don’t worry. We protected you. Read on to learn how to get temperature filter on Snapchat.

Create a Picture and Add a Sticker

To create an image or add stickers, follow these steps:

  1. Open your Snapchat app using the yellow icon and sign in if you haven’t already.
  2. Take your photo using the Capture button or record a video if you wish.
  3. Tap the sticker icon on the right.

  4. When you come to the sticker feature, you will see a star-shaped icon. You have to tap it to find the temperature sticker. This feature uses the ambient temperature recorded by your phone. If your phone fails to register the ambient temperature, one of two things will happen. Either the temperature filter and label are completely missing, or you can set the temperature label to say what you want.
  5. Tap the star icon and look for the temperature label – it’s a number followed by the Fahrenheit or Celsius symbol.

And that’s it. All ok!

Finding the Temperature Label

Scroll down the stickers to find the number with the degree symbol next to it. If you can’t find it, your phone may not support the temperature setting in Snapchat. There is no temperature tag in the beta version of Snapchat on Android. If you’re using the beta, go to the Google Play store, find the Snapchat app, and exit the beta test.

Your phone has its own range of sensors for gyroscopic, altitude and velocity. But temperature isn’t always something your hardware can detect. The information you see may have been collected from online data sources. After all, if your phone was the only one measuring temperature, wouldn’t it be warm with the warmth of your hand?

You Can Move the Temperature

Warmth is just another sticker so you can move it around on the screen and change it just like you would any other sticker. For example, you can pinch your fingers together on the label to make it smaller and move your fingers outward to enlarge it. Tap the blue arrow icon at the bottom right when you’re done. Select the people you want to send your picture to and then confirm again to send it.

Does Snapchat Have Usability Issues?

Have you read up to this point? If that’s the case, doesn’t it almost prove that Snapchat has a usability issue? If you give the app to a newbie, or even a novice who is used to using Facebook Messenger and WhatsApp, they will have a hard time understanding the interface and how things work.

The same applies to the tips listed in this article. After all, if temperature and battery graphs are so easy to find, why do people have to look online to find them? This isn’t a criticism of the user per se, it’s a criticism of the Snapchat interface and the fact that it could be a lot more intuitive.

How Often Do You Use the Temperature Feature?

The temperature filter is moved to the stickers section and suddenly a bunch of online articles appear explaining where to find the sticker. However, is the temperature feature really that popular?

There are many Smartphones with no temperature measurement features, but they can tell you what the temperature is. They do this through licensing agreements with the NYSE:SNAP. Snapchat’s willingness to pay millions for this service means the temperature feature should be important.
