Bumble is not just another dating app; more thoughtful and thoughtful. Most of its users are women in their late 20s and early 30s. These are smart women who aren’t just there for a quick chat or easy flirting.
That’s why it’s so important to have a smart, witty or funny bio. Keep reading and learn how to change your bio on Bumble, add more personal information to your bio and make your profile stand out from the crowd. Here’s how to edit your bio and some additional tips.
How to Change Your Biography
Your Bumble bio page is on your profile. Here’s how to find and replace it:
- Sign in to Bumble with your preferred sign-in method.
- Click Edit Profile.
- Next, tap the About Me field.
- Write a humorous, exciting biography and write (or paste) it in this field. Note that you have a maximum of 300 characters to describe yourself. It must be more than enough.
- Hit save and your bio will change.
Later in the article, you can read some helpful tips for a humorous biography. But for now, you can find out more about how to edit your profile here.
Just below your About me page, you’ll find the My Work & Education section. Select it and then update your job and education information. Tap the field below your job and enter your title and company. Next, tap the field under Your Education and add your educational institution and year of graduation.
More Profile Customization
Bumble allows you to create a very detailed profile page. Why stop with a bio when you can customize your basics even more? This section is on your profile, just below My Work & Education.
This section covers most of your personal preferences. Feel free to update most of the parts, but you don’t need to replace all of them. When you first enter the Basics selection on your profile, Bumble will ask you a series of questions that you can answer.
Our advice is to give honest answers or skip answering. Your dating preference, education level, and attitude towards drinking and smoking are probably more important than your political views, zodiac sign, and height.
Finally, it’s very important to include your current location, but you don’t necessarily have to specify the country and city of your birth. You can add your Spotify and Instagram profiles from the Linked Accounts menu at the bottom.
Verify Your Account and Use Profile Prompts
When you’re done adding your basics, you’d better verify your Bumble account. This option is also available on the Edit Profile page, just below your profile pictures. Click on it and follow the onscreen instructions to verify that yours is a real profile. Doing so will add more credibility to your profile and show more trust, which is much appreciated on all dating sites.
You might also consider writing some profile prompts. These prompts can serve as an extension of your bio and help other users who want to start a conversation with you. Follow the steps:
- Sign in to your Bumble account.
- Click Edit Profile.
- Select My Profile Prompts.
- Click Add Your First Profile Prompt and choose one of the many pre-made prompts.
- Briefly answer the question, such as what would be your perfect Sunday.
- Add two more profile prompts (you can only have three at a time).
Be yourself
Our last advice to you in this regard would be to be on your own. People love honesty and if your profile is unique it will get more attention. Don’t make cheesy quotes and pile up the lines, as millions do.
Of course, it wouldn’t hurt to upload your best looking photo to your profile. Adding a few interesting images isn’t a bad idea either. If you do most of the things covered in this article, your Bumble game should be in place. Expect more matches soon and let us know how it turned out in the comments section below.
