Everyone loves Instagram – the popular social media site is popular and still going strong. One of its most popular features is the Stories feature, which allows users to present a temporary slideshow of images (which disappears after a day) to tell a story. Instagram reports that over 400 million people use Stories every day – that’s a lot of people with a story to tell! You may be one of these users and have seen that the functionality of Stories on Instagram is not always easy to understand. In this article, I’ll give you some tips and tricks along with step-by-step guides to help you fully enjoy using Instagram Stories.
Instagram Stories: How to Add Text
If you’re looking for some character to set your story apart from the rest, adding text might be just that. Some carefully and effectively added text can bring your story to life.
It’s always fun to develop photos with text in speech bubbles or just make a statement. Here’s how to do it.
· Launch Instagram and select the “Your Story” icon with the little blue sign next to it.
· Take a picture using the “Normal” feature.
· Once you have taken the picture and are satisfied, click on the “Aa” text symbol in the upper right corner.
· Write a message and click “Done” in the top right corner when you’re ready.
Here you are. This method is good for a simple line of text without any frills. However, if you want to spice things up, you can add a lot more layers or text as well as move the text blocks to align them any way you see fit.
To add more text, simply click the “Aa” text icon after entering your first line of text.
You can customize what you write by choosing different colors to make messages more interesting to your friends and family.
If you don’t want the text to sit in the center of the image, you can move it around and change the angle by holding down the text and moving it two digits. This way, you can play with the text to personalize your post.
