Recently, Tinder has changed its way, allowing users to expand their Tinder profiles by connecting them to some of your favorite apps like Spotify and Instagram.
Linking your Tinder profile to your Instagram account seems very easy. If people could just take a look at your perfectly curated Instagram and your witty comments, you’d be swimming in matches! But you may want to think twice before tapping “Connect” – and if you are already connected, you might want to consider tapping “Disconnect”.
Connect Tinder to Instagram

If that’s not enough for you – honestly, it really should – users can also tap on those photos to go directly to your Instagram profile and see the rest. Of course, this only applies if your Instagram profile is public. If your profile is private, they can only see the last 34 pictures you posted from the Tinder app.
Connecting your Instagram to your Tinder is simple:
- open Tinder on your mobile device.
- Faucet over profile icon in the upper left corner.
- Faucet edit info.
- Scroll down Instagram photosand Tap Connect.
- use yours Instagram username and password to login. Alternatively, you can use your Facebook account to connect.
- Faucet Authorize On the last screen to allow Tinder to access your Instagram profile.
Just like that, your potential Tinder dates may see a lot more than you do. Ideally, this will result in more matches.
Is Linking Instagram to Tinder a Good Idea?
That’s the question. To answer for yourself, think carefully about what Tinder is and how it works. It’s something between a dating app and a dating app, so there are people with very different goals. Not everyone on Tinder has good reasons.

It’s easy to forget the importance of privacy and discretion in the age of social media. It is important to be careful, especially if you plan to meet face-to-face with internet people. Now of course Tinder isn’t full of creeps – but it’s full of strangers. Think carefully before deciding whether you should link your Instagram profile.
