Discord launches cheaper Nitro Basic subscription and finally supports YouTube

Discord and YouTube have finally mended their strained relationship with a new feature called YouTube Watch Together. Allows Discord users to sync YouTube video views in just a few clicks. This new feature is part of a larger new mode called Events. The company recently revived the forums, so users are getting a lot of new features in just a few weeks.

These new “activities” will be available via a new rocket-shaped button next to the screen share button. By clicking on it, all users can join. Two activities including “watch together” or playing the new title Mini Putt Party. If a friend is already attending one of these events, you can join them by clicking the “Join event” button.

Discord launches a new, even cheaper plan

The company has announced its worldwide availability. Nitro Basic, a more affordable subscription tier that costs $2.99 ​​per month, less than a third of the Nitro subscription, which costs 9.99 euros per month. This new package will allow Discord users use custom emoji and upload 50MB filehowever, it does not include the server boosts, HD video streaming, animated avatars and custom profiles included in the $9.99 Nitro plan.

Nitro Basic will be available worldwide from October 20. Users can go to User Settings and then Nitro to see if it’s already available. We will have to wait for its release to know its price in euros, but the latter should not differ from the price in dollars. Meanwhile, with the release of Nitro Basic, Discord will be ending Nitro Classic, which is selling for just 4.99 euros per month.

Those who subscribe to Discord Nitro will have access to a wider range of activities.. Only one person in a call needs to be subscribed, and these events can then be shared with other call participants. These extended events include additional games such as Checkers, Chess, Land-IO, Letter League, Blazing 8s and Poker Night.
