TikTok videos usually only take a few hours to go viral. Many challenges become popular overnight and reach every corner of the world. No wonder – the videos are short and fun, with an infectious beat and easy to repeat.
This year, TikTok users have been particularly inspired. Although we are only halfway through 2020, the extraordinarily exciting challenges have spread like wildfire. Check out our list of 2020’s best-loved TikTok challenges.
1. #HipsDontLie Dance Contest
Some of the more challenging TikTok dance challenges will let you show off your dance floor skills, but this challenge is as simple as they come. One of the most frequently aired dance competitions is a short choreography of Shakira’s hit hit “Hips Don’t Lie.”
The hashtag currently has more than 1.5 million posts, and some of the videos show TikTok users surmounting this challenge at the malls. This was probably a little scary for the people around them because they suddenly started debuting loudly!

2. #GuacDance Challenge
Chipotle was one of the first brands to realize the marketing potential of this social platform. The company created the #GuacDance contest and promised a prize: Free guacamole was added to their order on July 31Saint. Why this date? Today is National Avocado Day!
The challenge quickly went viral and has over a billion views today.
3. #LevelUpChallenge
This has gained popularity among pet owners. Its original purpose may have been to show off your dance moves, but pet owners have used their (and their pets’) creativity and skills to literally take the #LevelUp challenge to the next level.
The real stars of this struggle are cats and dogs. In videos with this hashtag, you can see pets jumping over an obstacle made of toilet roll, which is getting higher and higher.
4. #ImJustAKid Challenge
Recreating childhood photos was already commonplace on social media, so turning it into a global challenge wasn’t difficult. The goal is to recreate your favorite childhood photo, whether it feels funny or nostalgic.
The contest is accompanied by Simple Plan’s song “I’m Just a Kid”. As the chorus begins, you’re back to the original photo, where the author of the video is much younger or even a baby.
5. The#LeavingMyBody Challenge
This is the perfect challenge for those who like to tease. You know when you’re bored and you complain to your mom… And she says – go tidy your room! And do you feel that boredom immediately leaves your body? That’s it.
Boredom, sadness, anxiety (when someone tells you – just don’t be nervous!) and more, leave your body on this popular hashtag with over three million views.
6. #Breakfast Challenge
This challenge became famous in 2019, but the trend has continued this year. It’s simple choreography, from turning on the stove to beating eggs, to a contagious kick that looks like you’re making an omelet.
Some TikTok users have decided to follow the audio and use cutlery as props for their videos, and there are more creative reactions that have nothing to do with cooking. Find all related videos with the hashtag #breakfastchallenge with over 54 million views.

7. #OhNananaSong Contest
If you’re trying to recreate this common struggle, you’re going to need your best friend or partner. This cute little dance became so popular that people even started copying it with their pets. The song used in the competition is a remix of Bonde R300 called OhNanana.
There are over 2.2 million videos with this hashtag, and those created by doctors and nurses in hospitals are particularly popular alongside those made by celebrities.
8. #BoredintheHouse Challenge
The last few months have been pretty boring for all of us, but have also sparked the creativity of some TikTok users. With Curtis Roach’s “Bored in the House” as the soundtrack, the challenge quickly won over the entire TikTok community and turned into a rivalry. Who could look more bored?
9.#PewPewPew Challenge
Recreating this challenge may take some dedication – you have some lyrics to successfully learn to lip-sync the song. Fortunately, there are only a few words: “Wait a minute… it’s a helicopter”. One thing you can’t forget is using the big head filter which makes the video even more fun. Believe it or not, videos with this hashtag have over 1.5 billion views.

10. #MyTypeChallenge
TikTok has never been known for long monologues, so if you want to tell your community what your genre is, this is the way to go. This challenge is currently one of the most popular, although it was created in 2019. It gives you enough room to add your own personal touch and already has over 1.3 million videos.
Challenge Your Creativity
Some TikTok challenges have been around for a while, and their popularity hasn’t waned. Others come and go as our daily lives change. Still, it’s undeniable that your contribution to these hashtags can help you express your creativity and also grow your community on TikTok.
