Whether you’re using iOS or Android, there are four basic methods to remove a watermark:

Crop from video

Trimming from video is the simplest approach. However, this will change the aspect ratio of the video. If you want to re-share it on another platform that uses the same video size specifications as TikTok, it will leave a black margin around the content.

Cropping doesn’t work for every video either, because you might end up ripping your own head off. If your video has important video elements near the edges, you’ll need a different approach.

Use an app to uninstall

A number of video editing tools are available to remove TikTok watermarks on iOS and Android only. These will import the video and bypass the watermark entirely.

Removing a TikTok watermark from your iPhone is simple and fast. Whichever method you choose, you should start by downloading your video.

1. Tap on Share icon (quick arrow under “Like” and “Comment”
2. You’ll see a number of TikTok accounts and a number of apps you can share. Below that, you will see “Save Video” in the third row.
3. Tap this to save the video to your phone.

As mentioned above, trimming the video is the simplest approach. If you don’t mind the changed aspect ratio and your video subject is centered, this will work.

1. First, open the video in your Photos app.
2. Select “Edit” from the top right corner and then tap the “Crop” icon from the row of options that appear at the bottom.
3. Pinch and zoom to edit the dimensions of the video by cropping the watermark. Because the watermark bounces around, you need to crop multiple areas of your video.
4. Tap “Done” to save your work.

After trimming your video, play it back to check if it works. If not, it’s time to try something else.

Well, before you dive in, know that none of these apps are affiliated with TikTok. All of them are unapproved tools designed to bypass the watermarking process. So if one day TikTok changes their API, they may stop working.

3. Add video. To do this, open TikTok and find the video you want to download without the watermark. Tap “Share” and then “Copy link”.
4. Open your watermark removal app again. It will automatically import the video. From there, you can download it without the watermark by tapping the “Save” icon.
5. Your app may also allow you to change the title, add hashtags, and schedule it to be posted on your TikTok account.

Use a video editing app to remove the watermark

This is the most complex approach and one that I wouldn’t recommend when you can simply save a video without a watermark. But we offer you all the options!

First, search the app store for a watermark removal tool. The caveats above apply: most “free” tools will bombard you with annoying ads or require in-app purchases to work. And quality varies, so read reviews and get a free trial before you commit!

From there, the App Store is your oyster. We tried the Video Eraser.

1. Import your TikTok video from Camera Roll.
2. Select “Remove watermark” from the menu options.
3. Pinch and drag to highlight the area with the watermark. Most of these tools only let you remove one watermark at a time. You will have to do this in stages as the TikTok watermark is bouncing around.
4. Save your video. Then open the edited video and select the second watermark area.
5. Save again. Then export the edited TikTok video to your Camera Roll.

Take a moment to review your work. Because these apps work by replacing the pixels of the watermark with other pixels in the video, there will be a blurry effect where the watermark appeared before. This may not be obvious, especially if you have a solid background. In our example below, it’s pretty thin. But check the appearance and quality before installing!

How to download TikTok without watermark (or remove watermark online)

What if I told you that you can save your TikTok without a watermark, without visiting the App Store or Google Play? Who am I, some kind of magician?

1. Find the TikTok you want to download in the app.
2. Tap “Share” and then “Copy Link”.
3. Open your iPhone’s web browser and go to the online tool.
