The year is 2022 and racism is still deeply ingrained in the United States. Every other African-American man is perceived as a threat, even when he has done nothing wrong. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the world witnessed the true nature of police when they killed George Floyd in custody.
It would be fair to say that people only care about racism when it becomes a world problem. The last black man to face this disrespect was Hall of Fame wide receiver Terrell Owens. A hideous brawl started when a woman in Owens’ troupe unnecessarily called the police and said she was speeding.

Terrell Owens was stunned by the way she was treated by ‘Karen’.
This happened Wednesday evening when Terrell Owens was driving to the mailbox to get his mail. Just then, a woman shouted at him to stop speeding. This surprised the former 49ers for not speeding at all. When the woman called the police to the scene, she got out of the vehicle.
The 48-year-old wonderful actress recorded the entire discussion on her phone and then posted it. Instagram Thursday. Owens went on to call the woman ‘Karen’, which has become a popular term for white women who call the police and report people of color for non-criminal acts and feel threatened by ‘people of color’ even if they never come close.
“When I called her ‘Karen,’ her husband wanted to tell me to stop calling her ‘Karen’.” said Owens. “They thought I would just bend over and listen to all this mess. OK. This is where we are America.” The woman called 911 and reported that Owens threatened her and nearly hit her with her car. The police department made the conversation between the woman and the dispatcher public.
“He’s an African-American individual” said the woman. Asked if the individual had any weapons on him, he said: “I don’t know. He got out of the car.” The officer finally asked: “Did you ask an officer (to answer)?” The woman replied: “Yes.” Shortly after, a Broward County deputy sheriff arrived on the scene and asked what the dispute was about. “The deputy contacted a man and a woman who had a verbal argument at the scene,” the ministry said in a statement. “The parties separated and the situation was resolved.”
Owens was visibly injured by the woman’s false accusation. I want you all to know that this Karen thing is really real. said Owens. “Really real.”
