Terron Armstead is a name to be reckoned with in the NFL world. The seasoned offensive tackle was drafted by the Saints in the third round of the 2013 NFL Draft. Terron played college football on the Arkansas-Pine Bluff and impressed everyone with his talent.
As a matter of fact, Armstead was named HBCU Top 30 Under 30 by HBCU Buzz in 2014. Looks like the Miami Dolphins finally got him on their roster. According to NFL Insiders Adam Schefter and Tom Pelissero, Armstead has signed a five-year deal worth $75 million.
Terron Armstead’s experience will come in handy for Dolphins
Without a doubt, Terron will add greatly to the Dolphins’ chances of winning big next season. Confirming the deal, Tom Pelissero tweeted “The Dolphins sign new left forward Terron Armstead on a five-year $75 million deal plus per-source incentives”
“The Dolphins are giving OT Terrron Armstead a five-year deal worth $87.5 million, including a $43.37 million warranty, the source told ESPN.Adam Schefter reported on Twitter.
A lot of people were following the deal, as Terron was ranked as the least Free Agent in the world. NFL.com and was expected to take home a lot of money. However, it has to be admitted that with $15 Million a year, the Miami Dolphins got a pretty good deal.
However, it has to be admitted that there is a question mark as to whether Armstead has been consistently present as he has missed nine games in the previous season and at least six games in four of the last six years. The Dolphins would likely sign Liam Eichenberg, who didn’t live up to expectations last season, as Armstead took the field with a left-hand interception.
