In a recent interaction Ron Cook Ben of the Pittsburgh Post detailed what was going through his mind towards the end of his career in Pittsburgh. He thought that during his last year with the Steelers, many people thought he had exceeded the QB’s welcome.

I thought I was out of my terms. I never wanted to stay too long” Roethlisberger stated. “I know, some people might think I did. ‘You stayed last year.’ But to be honest I thought I played pretty well last year. My arm feels like I can still go out and play.”

He went on to add that he still felt he could get on the field and perform well. “I’m pretty sure I can still play. But every day. This is mental. Not having to prepare for the camp and the season has been the greatest blessing for me. I’m fine where I am at everything,” added.
