Calvin Orin Ridley made a name for himself in a relatively young career. The wide receiver trades for the NFL’s Atlanta Falcons. Before being replaced by the Falcons in the first round of the 2018 draft, Ridley played college football for Alabama.
All of a sudden, Ridley finds himself in a major argument that will likely cost him millions of dollars. Recently, the NFL issued a statement announcing Ridley’s suspension, and he’s ready to at least miss the league’s 2022 season.

League officials accepted the call. Ridley He gambled several matches in November 2021. He was on the non-football injuries list at the time. Ridley then requested a break to pay more attention to his mental health.
NFL commissioner Roger Goodell wrote to Calin informing him about his suspension. “Nothing is more important to the success of the NFL and the reputation of everyone connected to our league than to preserve the integrity of the game.” was read.
“This is the responsibility of every player, coach, owner, game official and everyone working in the league. Your actions compromised the integrity of the game, threatened to undermine the public’s trust in professional football, and potentially undermined the reputation of your fellow NFL players.“, continued.
“For decades, gambling on NFL games has been counted among the top violations of league policy, which warrants the ultimate sanction. In your case, I approve and commend you for promptly reporting for an interview and acknowledging your actions.” Roger also wrote.
After his sentence was announced, Ridley claimed on Twitter that he had wagered a total of around $1,500 and stated that he had no gambling problems. Ridley also claimed that he knew he was wrong and would come back stronger. “I know I was wrong but I get 1 year lol‘ he claimed.
