Tua Tagovailoa suffered an almost career-ending injury in the Round 4 match against the Bengals. Tagovailoa was knocked to the ground by a brutal intervention from Josh Tupou, which caused the QB to be unconscious.

The NFL received a lot of criticism for their way of dealing with such a brutal injury, and many doctors invoked their mild concussion protocols and demanded an immediate change to save lives.

NFL Twitter exploded in anger when they saw Tua would be back, but despite being fully fit, as he stated at a press conference, there’s still a lot of risk to play him. Many doctors also condemned the decision, and some even want the QB to retire.

Tua Tagovailoa has been a revelation for the Dolphins this season of the NFL as the league leader in passer ratings. In the game against the Bills, Tua came out with a concussion, but returned in the fourth quarter to see his team take the win, and he’s only 24.
