The San Francisco 49ers started the 2022/23 NFL season on a good note and are now at the top of the NFC West division. They have a 3-3 record this season and will face one of their fierce rivals at AFC West.
Head coach Kyle Shanahan has yet to forget when his franchise came up against the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl LIV fixture in 2019.

Kyle Shanahan endured Super Bowl LIV pain again before this week’s shootout
The Chiefs scored a convincing 31-20 victory over the 49ers, the closest head coach Kyle Shanahan came to win a Super Bowl in his six-year coaching career.
Ahead of the epic showdown, Shanahan once again recalled how her team squandered a 10-point lead with just 7 minutes. The defeat must have been one of the most heartbreaking he’s had to endure with his team lately.
Kyle Shanahan was asked how he felt as he entered the upcoming shootout and if he rewatched the Super Bowl LIV tie to strategize for this week.
“I hadn’t watched in a while until the last two days, but yeah, I don’t like watching but this week wasn’t about that.” According to Shanahan said ProFootballTalk. “I had to watch for schematic reasons and for what our history was together.”
“I like to think about our team that year” said. “I felt like we had the best team in football that year, but in the end we were second best because we didn’t make it.”
