In 2017, after seven years of Lorenzen Wright’s death, his ex-wife was determined to be the main culprit as it became clear after investigation it was at her request. Billy Ray Turner Sherra, who agreed to end her ex-husband’s life, was also allegedly having an affair with 51-year-old Turner. Wright’s family finally got justice, and they were happy with the decision. Outside the court, Wright’s mother, Deborah Marion, expressed how she felt about the decision, saying:
