In 2017, after seven years of Lorenzen Wright’s death, his ex-wife was determined to be the main culprit as it became clear after investigation it was at her request. Billy Ray Turner Sherra, who agreed to end her ex-husband’s life, was also allegedly having an affair with 51-year-old Turner. For Billy Turner, the court appointed a jury of 12 judges Monday to punish him for his charges. After two hours of deliberation, the Jury found Billy Ray Turner guilty of first-degree murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy in Wright’s death.
Wright’s family finally got justice, and they were happy with the decision. Outside the court, Wright’s mother, Deborah Marion, expressed how she felt about the decision, saying:
